Welcome to Year Five

Hello everyone. I am Miss Simmons- the Year 5 Class Teacher. In Year Five, it is our aim to ensure that every child feels valued and has the opportunity to learn in a safe and welcoming classroom where they are able to express themselves confidently.
We ensure all of our children achieve their full potential through engaging and fun ways of learning as well as encouraging them to develop their independence, resilience and organisation skills.
All children will receive a high level of support in order to help them reach their goals and to develop both academically and personally. We expect our children to be motivated and responsible for their own learning so that they can overcome challenges and become more confident in their own abilities.
Working alongside me is Miss Yarranton, who is an incredible Teaching Assistant and supports the children with all aspects of their learning.
