Year 4 2025 - 2026

Welcome to Year 4

In Year 4, Mr Thorp and the Year 4 team ensure all our learners have the confidence, independence and ambition to achieve their goals. We provide and safe and nurturing environment to allow the Year 4 children to thrive. The team expect learners to be ready, respectful and safe as well as encouraging resilience to help them succeed.


Teaching in Year 4 is class teacher Mr Thorp supported by Miss Cooke and Miss Yarranton. This team affords Year 4 a high level of experienced support to benefit them educationally and as individuals.

What I can do to help my child?

Important information:
  • Access ‘TT Rockstars’
  • Practise spellings
  • Check homework is being completed on time
  • Use ‘Class Dojo’ 
  • Read with your child regularly
  • PE days are Monday & Thursday (White t-shirt or blue PE top, navy/black shorts, leggings or trousers)
  • Homework is reading everyday, using TTRockstars and practising spellings
  • Reading books should be in school every day.
