At Parklands we see the potential in every child and are proud of all of our children. Education changes lives and we have high expectations for all our pupils. Our team work hard to provide opportunities for children to exceed their own expectations and believe in themselves in ways they may never have thought possible.

We seek to achieve this through a broad and engaging education that promotes academic success, excellence in care and welfare, and celebrates every child's talents and achievements. When children leave our school, we want them to be excited about the opportunities ahead and equipped with the confidence, knowledge and skills needed to succeed in life. Our ethos promotes the fundamental British values of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty, and mutual respect and tolerance for those with different beliefs.

At Parklands, our three school rules are simple: Ready, Respectful and Safe. They provide a clear foundation for learning and help us create a caring and inclusive community where everyone feels valued. Our approach to behaviour is rooted in positive relationships, clear expectations and mutual respect. We work closely with families, recognising that children are most successful when school and home work together. By fostering strong partnerships with parents and carers, we help children develop the social, emotional and behavioural skills they need to flourish both in school and beyond.

Our school values are Think, Collaborate and Persist. These values underpin everything we do and help our children develop both academically and personally. We encourage children to think deeply, ask questions, explore possibilities and make meaningful connections in their learning. We teach them to persist when faced with challenges, learning from mistakes, reflecting on their progress and developing resilience. We also help children to collaborate effectively by listening carefully, sharing ideas, supporting one another and working towards common goals. Through these values, we aim to develop confident, curious and compassionate learners who are prepared for success both in school and beyond.
